Protect your clothes whilst dyeing naturally with this biodegradable smock. The smock is water- and colour-resistant and helps prevent water, dye paste or loose hair from getting on your clothes. This makes it ideal for applying plant-based dyes at home.
Thanks to its 90 × 115 cm size, the cape falls generously over the shoulders and the front of the upper body. The lightweight fabric is comfortable to wear and is designed for single use. This means you can start every colour treatment with a clean and hygienic cape.
The white smock is a practical and more environmentally friendly alternative to traditional disposable smocks. After use, you don’t need to wash paint residue out of a reusable smock. This is particularly handy when using plant-based dyes, as natural dye powders can leave stubborn stains.
Combine the cape with a glass measuring jug, thermometer, dye bowl, dye brush, gloves and hair clips to ensure you’re fully prepared for your natural hair colouring treatment. The cape is biodegradable and resistant to water and colouring products.

Before mixing and applying the plant dye, drape the smock over your shoulders.
Close or fasten the collar around the neck and ensure that the front of the garment and the shoulders are properly covered. If necessary, use a towel or protective collar around the neck for extra comfort and protection.
Apply the plant dye in accordance with the instructions for use. After the treatment, carefully remove the cover so that any remaining dye does not come into contact with your clothes or skin.
The protective gown is intended for single use. Dispose of it after use in accordance with your local authority’s waste disposal guidelines.
When applying plant dye, wear suitable gloves as well as a protective gown. Natural dye powders can cause stains on clothing, towels and surfaces.
It is also advisable to protect the floor and the worktop on which you are mixing the plant dye. Keep a damp cloth to hand so that you can wipe up any spilled dye paste straight away.
The cover is water- and colour-resistant, but avoid allowing large quantities of liquid to remain on the material for prolonged periods. Check that the cover is not damaged before use.
By starting each colour treatment with a new cape, you ensure a clean and hygienic working environment. This also makes the cape suitable for inclusion in a complete kit for natural home colouring.
