Find out which curly hair care products are right for your hair
Would you like to know what type of curls you have? Your curl pattern is a good place to start, but the thickness, condition and desired style of your hair also determine which products work best for you.

These three product routes are the most suitable
Why it’s not just your curl type that matters
Two people with roughly the same curl pattern may still need very different products. These three characteristics together determine how much care and hold feels comfortable.
Curling pattern
Waves, spirals and tight curls react differently to moisture, styling and the level of hold.
Wall thickness
Fine hair tends to become weighed down more easily, whilst thick or coarse hair can often tolerate more nourishment and protection .
Fitness
Dryness, damage, fuzz and porosity determine whether you mainly need moisture, repair or, on the contrary, lightness.

Frequently asked questions about curl types and products
Do I need to know exactly whether I have type 2A, 2B or 3A?
No. The exact letter and number may help to describe your pattern, but when choosing a product, hair thickness, condition and the desired result are just as important.
Can my hair have more than one type of curl at the same time?
Yes, that’s quite common. In the selection guide, choose the pattern that applies to most of your hair.
Why do my curls get heavy so quickly?
This may be due to products that are too rich, excessive amounts, product build-up or a combination that isn’t suitable for fine hair.
Do I always need a leave-in conditioner and a curl cream?
No. A leave-in treatment focuses mainly on moisture and manageability, whilst a curl cream provides more body and soft definition.
